History of Jetblue
  Jetblue first flew on February 11, 2000 from New York JFK to Buffalo, New York and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. David Needleman founded Jetblue with the plan to offer frills aboard but at the same time low fares. Direct TV installed TVs in every seat aboard all Jetblue aircraft. Jetblue was well capitalized when it first flew. In 2001 Jetblue began flying to Long Beach and opened a second hub and also announced the opening of a crew base in Fort Lauderdale. In 2003 Jetblue ordered a new fleet of Embraer 190 jets. in 2004 Jetblue began flying to Boston and began a new hub there. In February 2007, Jetblue created the Customers Bill of Rights after a storm on Valentine's Day trapped passengers aboard one of its planes for 11 hours waiting for take off before canceling the flight and returning to the gate. The Bill established was to protect the rights of passengers aboard planes. After this incident, David Needleman resigned as CEO and went to Brazil to start a new airline named Azul. On May 10, 2007 David Berger replaced David Needleman as CEO. On December 13, 2007, Lufthansa bought a stake in Jetblue. On March 19, 2008, Jetblue made Orlando a new hub with plans for flights to the Caribbean and Latin America and announced the opening of Jetblue University for training of employees. On October 22, 2008, Jetblue opened its new terminal at JFK airport in New York. This terminal was the Eero Saarinen terminal 5 once used by TWA that was renovated for use by Jetblue. In 2009 Jetblue began its first flight to Latin America, first to San Jose, Costa Rica then to Bogota, Colombia, both from Orlando, Florida. In 2010 Jetblue introduced a new logo with the Jetblue titles in large letters on the fuselage.

Jetblue Today
 Today Jetblue is the sixth largest US airline and the second largest low fare airline after Southwest. Its main headquarters are in New York and has major bases in New York JFK, Boston Logan, Washington Dulles, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, San Juan, Puerto Rico y Long Beach. Jetblue flies within the United States and also to the Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America. Jetblue offers many frills, it has a TV in every seat on all of its aircraft, serves Dunkin Donut Coffee on board it planes and sells snacks. Jetblue has a fleet of more than 180 aircraft of Airbus A320s and Embraer 190s. Jetblue has an order for 30 Airbus A321 aircraft for delivery stating in 2013 and 40 Airbus A320neo aircraft for delivery stating in 2016.
