Miami "The America's Gateway to the world?"

Miami could easily be the Americas gateway to the world. Americans could not only use Miami as a gateway to Latin America but also to Africa. Miami is well placed to also be a gateway to Africa. American Airlines, the largest airline based in Miami, could use their new aircraft to fly these new routes from Miami to Africa. There are many key cities in Africa such as Lagos, Nairobi, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Accra, Addis Ababa, Dakar, Casablanca and Cairo. American should consider flying to these cities from Miami because it could use its national network to feed these routes from Miami. Latin Americans could use Miami as a gateway to Europe, the Middle East and Asia. American could use its new Boeing 787 aircraft to fly from Miami to many key cities such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Mumbai, New Delhi, Calcutta(Kolkata), Shanghai, Beijing and Tokyo. American could use its Latin American network to feed these routes from Miami. A Latin American who wants to fly to Tokyo for example from Latin America could fly to Miami and in Miami connect to the Tokyo flight. An American who wants to fly to Lagos for example could fly to Miami and in Miami connect to the Lagos flight, like many Americans already do to go to Latin America. This would create many jobs in Miami and this would make Miami a world city like New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. Miami is one of the few metropolitan cities for its size without flights to Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Instead of using New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, Latin Americans who want to fly to these destinations could use Miami. Now that the Boeing 787 is flying, nonstop flights to these destinations worldwide are possible.
